What a fun cat toy. My cats will almost play with nothing else. They will just sit there inattentively when I pull out the other toys now. I think it's all about the way the thin wire moves the bee around...it brings the hunter out of the cat. They leap, they run, they go in circles. The only problem is it is a very thin wire that eventually can fray and start falling apart. And the clasp that holds the bee to the wire is made of metal as well. So remember, this is not something you can just leave on the ground for them to play with unsupervised. There are reports of cats/kittens strangling themselves or cutting off circulation when they wrap themselves up in the wire. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN IF YOU CONTROL THE DEVICE AND STORE IT OUT OF THEIR REACH OR IN A BOX WHEN NOT IN USE. Also important, don't just yank the toy from them with the metal clasp in their mouths or you could pull out a tooth. I've had no problems, other than it finally fails from too much use.I always have another on hand that I keep in reserve. The bee and the mouse teaser wands are the most entertaining cat toy for my 3 cats yet.We now have Da Bee and Da Rat Mouse for our 2 cats (1 adult, 1 kitten). They are OBSESSED.Pros:The wire is really thin so unlike some other wand toys, they focus on the Bee rather than the string itself. We keep it in a drawer when not in use - they literally come running from across the house when they hear us touch that drawer.I'm pretty sure they would carry it around the house if we didn't put it away after play sessions.Cons:The stick is kind of short and the wire sometimes bends a little? It is hard to come up with a con for this toy because it gives the cats so much joy!I have read other reviews that people find metal pieces etc. coming from their toy. I have yet to see this on the Bee or Mouse. We keep it in a drawer to be on the safe side, but this item gets a LOT of play and I have yet to see anything remotely dangerous about it.This will be my third teaser wand from this company. Although they are not made to last (my cat has already destroyed two of them), there really is no other product that my cat prefers over this toy. He drags it all over the house and I wake up every morning with this toy draped over me in my bed or on my pillow. I wish the company offered these in an indestructible variety because it is not cheap to keep buying these, but it is worth it to keep my kitty happy. Also please carefully watch the condition of both the wand and the toy. The caps pop off the ends (my cat likes to chew on theyand itself), the wire also comes out of the end and unravels, and the bee (or mouse if you buy that variety) can come apart and have a sharp wire poking out. As long as you pay very close attention and replace this as needed this is the most awesome cat toy ever. My cat is on his third wand and I will keep buying more (unfortunately, haha.)Our two cats love the Go Cat toys. Unfortunately, they often love them right into the trash can. This toy has stood up to their destructive ways. Both our cats come running when the hear the sound of the Bee Teaser and our tuxedo cat Audrey will even play with it by herself for hours if she can get a hold of it. In fact, I would say it is Audrey's most prized possession of all the hundreds of cat toys littering our house and certainly the only one she will play fetch with. Yes, fetch! She will drag it all over the house so that we can throw it again. The wire that is attached to the bee makes it difficult for kitties to rip through with their sharp little teeth and claws and bee part is also pretty tough. Ours still looks close to the way it did a year ago, but we recently purchased a second one just in case.I have a very active cat that lives to play. This is his favorite toy ever. We have them in a few variations because hel takes of running to the other side of he house once he has caught the mouse.I had to rebuy this a few times. He's very rough on the toy so hey last about 6-12 months. I recently gave this toy to two cats I was baby sitting. They went nuts for it also. Here is something about how the wire makes the toy move that cats seem to really love.I ordered this one to replace the donated toy. My cats was so excited when it came out of the box. He's been playing with only this one only for the past couple of days. He really missed it even though he has several. My younger cats love the heck out of this thing. When they catch the bee, they will carry it around with them and growl. Even the old cats enjoy it, if not nearly as vigorously. The only con is that the wire can get kinked. This can make storage a little harder, but it's not a big deal.We have bought other bird type wand toys, but this one is their FAVORITE! Our two four year old cats love it and our kitten is OBSESSED. Worth the buy...the bee is bigger than on most wands and it’s a little longer for a longer “toss”.The worst part of this toy is that my cat wants to play with it all the time. Part of me wants to go back to when she hated all her toys and wanted to play only once a day... now she meows at me all the time wanting to chase this bee around the house. I don't know why she likes it so much, but it is the perfect size for her to grab in her mouth and run off which she likes to do. Buy at your own peril - your cat will bother you all the time to play.
