Ordered the pizza maker with low expectations with hopes that it would just cook frozen pizza similar to the oven. I have been very surprised at how well it not only cooks frozen pizza, but hamburgers/cheeseburgers, grilled cheese sandwich, oven fries, breaded shrimp, eggs, hash browns, bacon, homemade meatloaf patties just to name a few I have tried and enjoyed eating since getting my pizza maker. It should even work as a double hotplate do heat up most canned goods given enough time. VERY SURPRISED by how well this product works and would most definitely recommend it to anyone! I have just purchased three more for family and friends.I've used this many times with pizzas of many different thicknesses and it's worked great. I was dubious about no temperature control since not all frozen pizza are cooked at the same temp but they have all turned out great anyway. You can't remove the upper or lower plates to put in the dishwasher but cleanup is quick. You may have a little cheese to wipe away and some crumbs but it's quick and easy. Recommended.My sister in law thought I was nuts buying it. She said just keep making it in the oven. It actually comes out delicious!! Not sorry I bought it.I just tried this product today. Followed the initial instructions. Put a 12” DiGiorno Rising Crust frozen pizza on it. After around 15 minutes, it was nearly perfect. I could not believe it.Will it last? I have no idea. Only time will tell.Is the product perfect? No. Particularly, the issue is the fact that the plates are not removable. That means, you need to try to clean it with warm wet paper towels. I am not sure if it is a healthy practice—at least for human beings… If this company comes up with a removable hardware design for washing the plates properly, I would give it an A+.Awesome product! Me falta mucho por aprender, pero ya hice 2 pizzas.Al principio se me batio una por no tener un plato-espatula para transportar la pizza cruda al electrodomestico.Luego simplemente puse la pizza cruda en este, lo conecte y compense el tiempo de calentamiento.Hace pizzas tan rapido como 15 minutos; pero mejor seguir las recomendaciones para mejores resultados.El unico motivo por el que le puse 4 estrellas es porque la luz verde no prende, pero no necesito que prenda. El calentamiento es como de 5 minutos y ya lo tengo considerado.Hasta ahora me ha encantado y me ha dado pauta a cocinar nuevos platillos para no aburrirme de lo mismo y salir a comprar comida de mala calidad y muy cara aqui donde vivo.Lo recomiendo!El aparato que quería. Consume energía eléctrica y deja las pizzas incluso mejor que en el horno. Ahorra uno gas además de evitar accidentes propios y posibles por quemaduras con el horno. Quizá podría mejorarse esta "parrilla" si un foquito indicara que ya está lista la pizza (o lo que uno prepare). Los foquitos que trae son solamente uno rojo que indica que se está precalentando, y uno verde que indica que la temperatura ya es la ideal para iniciar la cocción, misma que se apaga y enciende conforme avanza el proceso, pero de ahí en fuera, muy buena compra. SUGERENCIA: utilicen debajo una capa de papel encerado y jamás la masa directa sobre la plancha.This is my second betty crocker pizza device. The first one lasted 2 years, and I loved it. heated up ready to go within 3-5 minutes - hot enough to boil water and beyond. I believe I broke it by allowing water to get inside during cleaning (water boiled over), as one day soon after it just stopped working. Took it appart and no visible damage but heater was just burned out. Ordered another.The second one arrived on July 13th. I let it sit for a week untouched - COVID protocol. When I opened, it seemed less well manufactured - and was indeed. Lid was kind of loose, but it seemed to work fine - and was working fine on August 13th. But stopped working on August 14th - the only change / action in between being unplugging after use one night (how you turn it off - as there is no switch) and then plugged it in the next night. Light came on to indicate power, but never the green light to indicate heat achieved - and only barely warmed the pizza - cooking surface warm to the touch but not even enough to warm an already cooked pizza, let alone actually cook one. After 30 minutes I turned on the regular oven, pulled the plug and gave up. And just discovered I'm exactly 1 day late in trying to return it. Don't be like me - don't buy this in the first place...I already have this model, took it to work to use at the office and everyone loves it, using it to make breakfasts. I've had for about four years and still works perfect. I ordered two more so I can put one in our motorhome and keep one at home. I previously decided to purchase the Hamilton Beach model, has a rotating plate and window. The pizza gets caught in the element located below the lid, does not cook as well as the Betty Crocker Unit. The Betty Crocker Pizza Maker is the way to go, from making pizzas, eggs, bacon, heating up fries, onion rings, chicken wings, etc. - it's perfect - love, love, love it!!Al principio pensé que sería solo como una crepera pero este producto ha superado mis espectativas por mucho, hasta ahora nada se le ha pegado, que era una de mis mayores preocupaciones, tampoco se ha desgastado el teflón (o hierro, la verdad ignoro que material sea). Lo he usado para omellete, queda super rápido y grande, queda bien cosido por ambos lados pero la cocción es tan buena que incluso te permite voltearlo sin que se rompa. He preparado también hotcakes y han sido los hot cakes más pachoncitos que he visto en mi vida, me encantaron (usando la receta y harina de siempre). Para la pizza he usado solo la masa de betty crocker y ha sido super facil, un poco de agua tibia, amasas y dejas reposar 5min y está lista para prepararse. No comentan mi error de principiante de aplanar la masa, echarle todos los ingredientes y después quererla mover al aparato XD, lo que hago ahora es aplanar, enseguida la meto al aparato y ahí pongo los ingredientes y tapo, aprox en 15min está lista y a mi familia le ha gustado más que la de cadenas.
